What to do in those immediate days following a break up. Here’s a set of things that you are going to need to do to keep your anxiety under control. The initial feelings of despair and shock will pass, but what can you do to get through those crucial first days of a separation?

First of all, keep it in perspective – you’re not the first and you won’t be the last. You’ll survive this.

Get the fundamentals in place. Exercise, diet and sleep are crucial. Schedule them, and use them to give your life structure.

Get a plan. You’re going to need to organise accommodation, self care and you’ll need some social support. You don’t want to go it alone.
